Beauty Soothers

Good morning to everyone. These are some tips to those people specially to women, of how to beautify your skin. Many got their problem with it. Some use different kind of lotion, but still it won’t work.

Scientists document the amazing power of touch to heal and protect us, new beauty treatments use texture to soothe and de-stress, to provide pleasure as they cleanse, tone, moisturize.

‘TOUCH IS GOOD FOR YOU.” Says clinical neuropsychologist Eric Fishman, PhD., of Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia. “I encourage socially acceptable touch whenever possible—at the doctor’s office, at the beauty parlor, at the masseuse.” In recent study of 60 University of Virginia students. Fishman found that physical contact reduced heart rate, blood pressure and sensations of pain.

The power of touch is one reason day spas are thriving, “Many single and divorce people don’t have much physical contact. Spas provide the human touch, the human connection in a very soothing, safe environment.

At department stores, cosmetics sales reps are getting touchy, some offered free hand massages and some offered manicure with massage. Sometimes they offered back rubs. At beauty salons, any shampooist worth her tips gives a head-and-neck massage as part of the service, while pedicurists have become reflexiologists, kneading pressure points with botanical/peppermint foot lotion before painting toes.

Even everyday beauty products are being reformulated to feed our growing “skin hunger.” Bars of soap are studded with dried herbs; eye creams are loaded with moisture beads that burst on contact. The silicone in Vaseline’s new Intensive Care Moisutrizing Body Wash acts like “teeny, tiny ball bearings so that your fingers slide along your skin. Even the aromatherapy is as much about touch as it is about smell. -Laurie Drake

Your hair is always the first to know

Amazingly, a flaky face or wrinkles aren’t what set off an alarm for most women. Dieters often rush to doctor’s office because their hair is thinning or falling out. They get used to how their skin looks, so it takes longer for them to realize there’s damage.

Poor diet accounts for the hair problems that Philip Kingsley, a London- and New York-based trichologist (hair scientist), sees in 60 percent of the female patients. Within three months of kicking off a nutrient-poor diet, women will start to see a loss of body and bounce. Hair follicles are nonessential tissue, so a lack of nutrition starves them, gradually making each strand look thinner. The culprit is often a deficiency of protein, the stuff hair is made of. Even after you start eating properly, it can take two to three years to regain lost volume. And your hair may never again have optimum thickness.

A stay-pretty plan

OK, enough bad news! There is a solution: Just like Mom told you, try to eat regular, balanced meals—it’s the single best thing you can do for your looks. At every meal, down foods that pack in a wide variety of nutrients, plus about four ounces of protein. “A lot of women don’t eat breakfast, rush through lunch and then have a wonderful dinner.” But since energy to make hair-follicle cells is lowest in the morning, the two most important meals for hair are breakfast and lunch.

This all makes sense, you may be saying to yourself, but isn’t thin in? well, it’s nowhere near as in as looking and feeling good, and that’[s the big beauty pay-off of maintaining a healthy weight. The truth is, if you’re a chronic dieter, your skin is never going to look as vibrant as that of someone who always ate well. Youth can camouflage poor eating habits for a while, but once you hit your thirties, you’ll age more quickly.

Smooth and Healthy Hair

Good morning to everybody. It is always said that the hair crowns the beauty. I believe in that. Our is the one seen first by many. Our hair gives us confidence if it is very healthy and stress free

It was then believed that in order to get healthy, shiny hair it must be brushed a hundred times every night before going to bed. Hair experts said that too much brushing and combing can actually be rough on hair.

Hair may seem resistant to all the brushing, heat styling and coloring, but every strand is fragile. The cuticle, its outer layer, is made of scales that overlap each other. Once the scales are disturbed, hair damage starts. And over time it will continue to chip and fray until the surface becomes rough, dry and dull. There are warning signs of hair damage which you will notice and it includes lack of elasticity, lighter-colored ends, split-ends and hair breakage.

You can give a style on your hair anytime you want. Keeping your hair healthy doesn’t mean you completely stop styling it. You can take some measures to save it from further damage and give it some much-needed TLC.

It is important that you use a wide-tooth comb. Our hair is weak when it’s wet, so combing our hair with a brush must not be done. You may try to use a plastic or rubber wide-tooth comb, as this is least likely to catch and break wet hair. When hair is almost dry, a natural or nylon bristled brush will style hair with minimal damage.

After shampooing you hair, don’t forget to use the conditioner. Regular use of a moisturizing conditioner will keep your hair from drying out and make detangling a breeze. Some hair stylish recommend the use of conditioner every day and shampoo only every other day to give hair a smooth coat.”

Superb hair, scalp care (3)

Proudly Filipino made

Zen Zest’s virgin-coconut-oil hair-care line’s Revitalizing Shampoo for Dry Damaged Hair gently cleans hair and scalp without leaving heavy residue so hair still has body.

Superb hair, scalp care (2)

Maximizing color

Most shampoos contain sulfate, a washing detergent that lathers and deeply cleanses hair, especially the oily variety. But the problem with sulfate is it clashes with a great highlighting or dye job.

The first two weeks of colored hair is important. It is this time that color is most bound to fade which is what a high-sulfate shampoo can cause, resulting in dull or brassy (too red or rusty) color your are stuck with till you dye over it.

Bonacure Sulfate- Free Color Save Shampoo for color-treated hair is especially helpful to help color achieve its best potential in the first two weeks. It can be paired with the Bonacure Color Save Spray on Conditioner with Moringa Oleifera (malunggay extract), which causes maximum shine and hydration.

You may use the shampoo even after the first two weeks to boost the color.

Even after switching back to Kerastase shampoo I have retained the Spray on Color Save conditioner to keep my hair strands silky.

Flat hair

For flat hair, there’s Kiehl’s Super Thick Volumizer. Those with thin fine limp hair will love the sexy body this gives.

After a shower, bend from the waist and spritz near the hair roots; then flip up your hair and do the same on top, using fingers to comb through. Then brush to the style you want. You’ll get big sexy hair that moves without the greasy stiff film other styling products leave behind. Blow-drying is an option.

Superb hair, scalp care (1)

WHEN we talk of beauty concerns some women were lazy when it comes their hair. Whether it be style, cut, color or maintenance, hair interests them the least. Great hair is essential to boosting one’s total image. There are products that help me look super with minimum effort.

For those who have a problem of dandruff, falling hair, and sore sensitive scalp, there’s Kerastase Bain Bio Recharge with 2.5 percent Bioflorin shampoo. It provides the hair good bacteria to check the population of bad bacteria which ruin scalp and result in dandruff and falling hair.

Probiotic oral supplements are originally used to promote intestinal health. They are supposed to control the population of bad bacteria in the stomach that cause yeast infection, gas and bloating. Because of its effect in the intestine, it is logical that a shampoo with probiotics will reinforce the scalp’s natural defense or immune system.

For home treatment, one may check out Concentre Bio Recharge 15ml x 5 Bioflorine 5 percent. It is supposedly applied once a week for five weeks straight on towel-dried hair after shampooing. It is lathered and then left for five minutes on the scalp, before rinse-off.

The Kerastase Institute at 6750 Ayala Avenue, Makati offers an intensive treatment called Biotic Ritual which complements the Bio Recharge shampoo and home treatment. Choose from the Cleanse+Treat and three-step Prepare+Cleanse+Treat options.

After started using Biotic, dandruff will disappeared, the scalp oiliness has been controlled, and have less falling/breaking hair. Call 8191040.
